Hi, I'm Kiley
My name is Kiley and I'm the founder of Pacific Peaks Fitness! Yes, exercise and fitness are essential to this program, and it is also so much more. Pacific Peaks is built on a foundation of community. Our classes are all about moving functionally and creating connections to our mind, body, and the people around us.
Get to know me
How long have I been working in Camas?
I have been working in Camas for the past six years and love it! I recently moved from Portland to Vancouver so I could be closer to my work and the nature we get to work out in!
Why did I decide to get into this line of work?
As a college soccer player and sometimes prone to injuries, I began focusing on how to be a stronger and healthier athlete. In doing so, it was amazing to see how much focusing on taking care of my body helped not only my performance, but my mentality as well. After jumping into the Kinesiology major and working at the Student Recreation Center at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, I found out how important movement, exercise, sleep, nutrition & getting outdoors, especially in a group setting, really are for us. Through opening other studios and getting the opportunity to play a role in the health journey of those around me, I quickly realized that the reward of helping others, building their confidence up and seeing results was a passion of mine.

How do I approach coaching and training?
It is really important to me to meet my clients where they are at while helping them to realize their potential. People are motivated by trust and fun, but it’s common that people don’t inherently trust their ability or feel exercise is fun. Connecting with my clients and understanding their motivation and finding ways to keep them engaged, rewarded and connected is so important to me. I design my classes and my training to be approachable and challenging, so you can be a novice or a pro and walk away feeling better than when you walked in.

What other passions do I have besides teaching?
I love to stay active, despite the rain. Living where we do, mountain biking, surfing and being outside helps me relax, get focused and even inspired. I also spent some time volunteering at the Pixie Project- an organization that helps foster and care for animals as well as working for Soccer Shots. My two cats Harlow & Henry keep me very happy, and a bloody mary with a chaser ;) on the weekends is a nice way to kick back.

All About Pacific Peaks
Like most stories in our recent history, Pacific Peaks Fitness starts with finding hope during a pandemic. While other people were learning how to code or make sourdough starters, Kiley Hauck channeled her focus toward the main value she was missing in this isolated time: community.
Before the pandemic, Kiley became part of the community in the Vancouver, Camas, and Washougal areas. It became home, and then all of a sudden, people weren’t allowed to see each other.
There had to be an accessible place that would be motivating for people to work out, get moving, and safely connect with each other. Kiley wanted to be the one to provide that. So Kiley asked herself two questions:
-
How can I continue to teach fitness classes?
-
How can I continue being around the people I’ve connected with for the prior three years?
The idea of outdoor fitness classes emerged. Then Kiley thought the idea ought to have a name, and she came up with “Pacific Peaks Fitness.” Okay, she thought, this can be something. Kiley met with a branding specialist who asked the compelling question of all questions:
what’s going to make you different?
After reflection and forethought, Kiley confidently answered the question by saying,
“I’m going to be able to adapt and grow. While I don’t have a niche yet, I know it will come because I’m seeking out opportunities to create and provide community.”
At its core, that is Picific Peaks Fitness. A community that supports inclusivity, authenticity, and movement.
So in the summer of 2021, Kiley started her outdoor fitness class, providing an opportunity for people to work out together! What a breath of fresh air, literally! Pacific Peaks became a haven for those craving community and fitness.
A few months in, Kiley was approached by a woman who asked if she was interested in teaching classes for young adults with disabilities. While she had no clue where to begin, Kiley was excited to learn from and work with this demographic. In March 2022, Mountain Tops had its first class. Learn more about the Mountain Tops program here :-)
With the addition of Mountain Tops to an already growing Pacific Peaks Fitness, Kiley was secure in the values of this program, which are grounded in inclusivity and community. Like Kiley always says, the focus is connection. People over pushups!
Pacific Peaks is a place to commune in connection while getting fit!
