ROCK CLIMBING AT MOVEMENT GYM (portland)

Join our Mountain Tops group and amazing volunteers for a rock climbing event at Movement Climbing, Yoga & Fitness in Portland! Whether you're a first-time climber or you've joined us before, this is a great chance to challenge yourself, build confidence, and have fun with the group. Volunteers from Adaptive PDX will be there to support and encourage as we explore the walls together. Come climb, connect, and enjoy a great time with the Mountain Tops community!

PAWCIFIC PEAKS FITNESS
stickers for a cause

 all money raised will go to furry friends 501(c)(3) cat shelter in vancouver, wa
fundraiser will last while we still have stickers!

We’ve swapped our usual mountain logo for something way cuter — adorable cats! The Pawcific Peaks Fitness stickers are here, and 100% of proceeds go to Furry Friends, a 501(c)(3) cat rescue in Vancouver, WA.

Furry Friends rescues the abandoned, the abused, the forgotten — specializing in stray cats, medical cases, and neonates. They provide clean, loving care until each kitty finds a forever home. Furry Friends

 

How you can help:

  • Grab a sticker in class ($5 each)

  • All money raised will help Furry Friends with veterinary care, safe shelter, and adoption support

Want to experience a perfect way to celebrate the 45 year old Mt. Helens Eruption? Come join us for hikes within the 1980 Blast Zone eruption this summer.

 

We will begin our day at the Hummocks Trailhead with a 2.7 easy/moderate loop experiencing epic views of the blast zone of Mt. St. Helens.

Part 1

  • Park at the Hummocks Trailhead #229

  • Hike type: Loop

  • Distance: 2.7 miles

  • Elevation gain: 100 feet

  • High point: 2,540 feet

  • Difficulty: Easy/moderate

  • Permit: NW Forest Pass Required

  • Restrooms at Trailhead

  • No Dogs allowed-Bark Rangers need to stay behind

Part 2

We will hike another mile or so up to the Coldwater Science and Learning Center . There is no fee to enter the science center.  We will take a 30 minute break for food, restrooms and education. You can end your day here, or, prepare for our 2nd hike.

Part 3

We will take the Lakes Trail #211 along the North side of Coldwater Lake approx. 5 miles out and back.  This lake was formed when the Debris Avalanche from the eruption blocked the mouth of Coldwater Creek Canyon.  

 

This entire day will be approximately 10 miles with breaks.  

 

We have 2 training hikes scheduled to help you prepare this summer. These hikes will be held on Friday's mid morning:

  • Ostenson Canyon Loop Hike-Camas TBD

  • Hamilton Mountain-Columbia gorge 6.5 miles

  • Please request to be added to the Friday hiking group text for more details.
