The views are epic and we will learn about some of the history of the 1980 eruption along the way. MEET UP FOR CARPOOL: Lacamas Lake Lodge 7:20AM. We will leave at 7:30am. MEET AT TRAILHEAD: Drive is 1 hour 45 minutes to trailhead from the lodge. Parking is very limited. DEPART FOR HIKE AT TRAILHEAD: 9:30am HIKE TIMELINE: 5 to 6 hours Hike type: Out and back Distance: 9.6-11miles round-trip depending on our pace/weather Elevation gain: 2,485 feet High point: 4,315 feet Difficulty: Moderate to challenging-Because of length No Pets NW Forest Pass Required There are no restrooms at the trailhead. Inclement weather conditions can occur quickly on a mountain at anytime, so we will monitor this for safety if dates need to change.
