Volunteer with
Mountain Tops

Mountain Tops is a Pacific Peaks program dedicated to fitness for adults with developmental disabilities!

Volunteering with Mountain Tops allows giving and receiving joy! It's a chance to learn from and support our neurodivergent community members!

After completing our onboarding process, you can join us at any Mountain Tops class! Volunteer on Tuesdays for a Lodge workout or Thursday for a walk on the Heritage trail, or both!

Mountain Tops
volunteer FAQs

When is Mountain Tops?

Mountain Tops is every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. We kindly ask volunteers to come five to ten minutes before class starts.

Where is Mountain Tops?

Classes are in Lacamas Lake Lodge in Camas, Washington.

Is Experience Required?

Pacific Peaks doesn't require prior experience working with people who are neurodivergent or leading fitness classes! We simply ask that you have a passion for inclusion and working with folks who have developmental disabilities and come to class ready to have fun!

We ask that you contact us and we do require a background check prior to your first class.

What are Classes Like?

Tuesday and Thursday classes share similarities, but look a little different. Both days start with a full group warm-up, move into our main activity then finish with cool-down stretches, and of course our group cheer! On Tuesdays, the main activity is a workout in the lodge. On Thursdays, we go on a group walk on the Lacamas Lake trail!

Your role as a volunteer is to provide help when it's needed! Some athletes need guidance through the exercises, where you may need to demonstrate a move. Other times, you may be an encouraging voice to an athlete! As a volunteer, your roles will change depending on the athletes you're working with. No matter what, you'll be a guide in growing each athlete's fitness and energy levels!

I want to volunteer!

Send me a message with a good day & time for us to chat more about Mountain Tops and how we can get started!
